Record your thoughts in a Baron Fig notebook
Inspiration can strike at any moment – while riding the bus, taking a walk in the park or enjoying a cup of coffee at your favourite cafe. In these moments, a notebook and pencil act as a lifeblood for capturing and recording these bursts of brilliance.
From a love of sitting down with a notebook or sketchbook to give birth to thoughts and ideas, three lads have created a simple, sophisticated tool for idea channelling in Baron Fig: Sketchbooks and Notebooks for Thinkers. The creation of New York-based thinkers Joey Cofone, Adam Kornfield and Scott Robertson, Baron Fig engaged hundreds of designers, illustrators, writers and entrepreneurs around the world to devise and craft a notebook complete with all the nuances to champion spontaneous creative exploration.
The Kickstarter-funded project has just launched its online store, featuring its first release, The Confidant notebook. To craft this first paper tome, the gents defined and redefined what a notebook is, coming to the conclusion that these repositories of thoughts are a means to something greater than itself. Poring over the components of usability, Baron Fig has produced a notebook that feels natural when used at a desk or in hand on the train, with blank, ruled or dot grid paper and a simple ribbon bookmark to keep your place.
While the brand is starting out small, shipping only within the US, keep an eye on the website for when they expand internationally.
