Easton Pearson and Fukutoshi Ueno collaborate on the nostalgic Bambi Frame

Inspired by Walt Disney’s classic film Bambi, Brisbane designer Fukutoshi Ueno created the Bambi Frame in 2010, encouraging viewers to slow down and remember the whimsy of childhood.

Now in collaboration with fashion designers Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson (Easton Pearson), this design object has captured the true essence of Easton Pearson’s creative energy, exuding their intense colour usage, clashing prints and witty take on design via this nostalgic frame.

When Toshi originally presented the frame – which acts a hanger on which the day’s clothes are draped – Easton Pearson were smitten with the story behind the piece and together the trio worked to translate the EP palette onto the Bambi Frame, embellishing it in their own aesthetic.

Artworks in their own right, these screens will go on to be exhibited in both Brisbane and Melbourne. Introducing a sense of nature into living spaces and encouraging people to live harmoniously with the environment, Bambi comes in six different designs expertly crafted by Richard Park of Blok Furniture. The frames are available at artisan in Fortitude Valley.
