A family brand passed down through the generations, Angelus Shoe Polish Company was founded in 1907 by young Greek immigrant Paul T Angelos. Commencing in Chicago, Paul started out shining shoes to save enough money to move to Los Angeles, where he secured a job with a large shoe-shine stand. Burrowing away his earnings, he saved up enough to open his own stand, eventually expanding to employ his brothers and cousins across several locations.
Passionate about the products he used, Paul began making his own polishes at home on the kitchen stove. Word got around of the quality of the shoe shine and soon the family business expanded to a shop and manufacturing plant. Honesty, quality and hard work were always the driving passions behind the brand, with grandson Paul G Angelos carrying these traits through to today.
Operating out of California, Angelus shoe polishes are water resistant and restore and preserve colour to worn-looking shoes.
