Alice Nightingale expands into a larger space in California Lane

Fashion-forward queen Alice Veivers has been adding colour and life to our wardrobes for more than a decade as the creative genius behind independent label Alice Nightingale. Following a successful three years in her California Lane bricks-and-mortar boutique, Alice is making a big(ger) move – two doors down into a roomier space!

Alice Nightingale has maintained a loyal fan base with its colourful and ethically sustainable approach to fashion, creating handcrafted garments from second-hand fabric. Since 2018, these loud and vibrant pieces have called California Lane their physical home (Alice also operates an online store) and has attracted many a passerby with its eye-catching range of gear and accessories, which now includes lingerie, shoes and swimwear. In a move that will see the label move on to bigger and better things, owner and operator Alice Veivers has set up shop in a larger space just two doors down. The new boutique affords Alice a lot more opportunity – there’s more room for clothing (a win for us, yay!), and Alice is also able to host more sewing classes and fun fashion workshops.

To celebrate the opening of the new digs, Alice will be throwing a party this Friday February 19 for local label lovers. There will be lucky door prizes, a selection of tastebud-tempting snacks and sips and plenty of colourful outfits to pore over. Plus, we’ve heard there will be a few sneaky gems on sale too! It’s all happening from 5:00–9:00 pm in California Lane in Fortitude Valley. To peep the opening hours of the new Alice Nightingale store and other details, check out the Stumble Guide.
