Discover quiet menswear hub A Wasted Space in Paddington

Sneaking onto Enoggera Terrace in November, A Wasted Space has transformed a few rooms at the back of unsigned Cabinessence into a spot for men to shop for all their indie mandrobe essentials.

Stocking a swell collection of Melbourne label Mr Simple, Herschel Supply Co. bags and Happy Socks, A Wasted Space is haven for the lad who likes to dress on trend, with casual button-up shirts, chinos and varsity jackets. Decked out with vintage paintings of ships, street art, a bike hanging from the roof and the odd knick-knack or two, the boutique has a self-service type vibe, clear of any annoying sales folk. Unless, of course you, want to chat, then see Sean behind Cabinessence’s coffee machine.

If you’ve ever stumbled across The Lab in Fitzroy, Melbourne, this Paddington haunt is like a little brother version, with extra kudos for the cafe-adjoining, rustic locale. Stocking Sunday Somewhere sunglasses, Holly Ryan jewellery and Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co. caps, it’s the place to find a little something for yourself or potentially even your lady friend, finishing off your trip with an espresso and slab of avo toast in the eclectic ‘front yard’ of this off-the-beaten-track lair.

A Wasted Space
