A Love Supreme Records starts spinning in Winn Lane

Last weekend, amidst the drool-inducing aromas of burgers grilling and fries bubbling, A Love Supreme Records opened quietly in Winn Lane.

Fortitude Valley’s sweetest shopping laneway has some hefty lures in the form of Sunday Social and The Outpost, but last weekend it was treated to another much-needed offering, A Love Supreme Records. Brought to you by the brothers behind Ben’s Burgers just a few stores down and inner-city boutique Apartment, Ben and Nick Chiu, plus friend Alex Intas, the new record joint specialises in quality, hand-picked vinyl.

Whether your ears mellow at the sound of soul and jazz, perk up with a bit of Latin, funk or disco, or twitch for hip-hop, electro, house or psych, the curated collection on offer at A Love Supreme Records spans all these genres and more. As an extension of Brisbane’s A Love Supreme music events initiative, the new shop is right on the pulse of local musical taste. Saunter in to the store Tuesday through to Sunday for a spot of crate digging, followed by a shake and a nibble from Ben’s Burgers down the lane.
