If you’ve been a diligent social distancer, you’ve likely been avoiding major shopping centres and anywhere that might draw a crowd. Westfield gets it – so the group has just launched Westfield Direct, a new drive-through contactless click-and-collect service allowing the convenience of a shopping centre one-stop-shopping experience, all from the palm of your hand (and safety of your car).

Westfield Direct has launched across all of the Australian Westfield Living Centres – so that includes Carindale, Chermside, Garden City and North Lakes here in Brisbane. The service allows users access to a number of everyday essentials (yes, doughnuts are essential) from multiple retailers in one shop – you can purchase products via the website from a variety of Westfield stores, all in one transaction, then pick them up without leaving the safety of your car via a contactless drive-through location at your centre of choice.

More than 350 retailers are accessible across the platform, offering up to 8000 products including fresh food, quick eats (hot food does need to be ordered separately to ensure food safety) and everyday lifestyle essentials. It’s not just the big retail chains available, either – you can pick up goodies from local retailers such as Archer Specialty Coffee, Brooklyn Donut & Coffee Co (told you doughnuts were essential), Betty’s Burgers and Byron Beef Jerky, as well as food-court grab-and-gos, florists, fruit and veg shops, butchers, fishmongers and more.

To order, visit the Westfield Direct website, choose your centre of choice and follow the step-by-step instructions. Once your order is placed, you’ll be notified of your designated pick-up location.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
