Welcome Easter with Hot Cross Bun Truffles at Bittersweet

Welcome Easter with Hot Cross Bun Truffles at Bittersweet

With Easter well and truly on its way, it’s time to back away from the diet and embrace a holiday that actually encourages sugar consumption.

Munch on chocolate eggs and gobble up spicy hot cross buns or sample the latest creation from Bittersweet chocolatiers that combines both holiday favourites.

Melissa Atkinson, owner of Bittersweet Chocolates, at The Barracks precinct has merged two of Easter’s favourite treats to create a mouthwatering Easter special for adults, in the form of its Hot Cross Bun Truffles.

The process is lengthy – it involves first infusing the truffle cream with hot cross buns, before mixing with a milk chocolate and adding more spices and sultanas. The chocolate is then whipped and hand-rolled into small squares, ready to be hand-dipped and enjoyed.

These decadent Easter creations are already available at Bittersweet and will be sold until Easter weekend. They are ideal for a deliciously packaged gift or for blissfully selfish indulgence.
