Teapot cocktails and marbled brownies – dip into fondue heaven at W Brisbane this winter

One of the best parts about winter is the belly-warming food we get to devour – hearty roasts, hot chocolate and of course, our personal favourite, fondue. If you’re keen to dip delicious delicacies into a pot of melted chocolate (who wouldn’t be, really?), you’ll be more than pleased to hear that W Brisbane is bringing back its beloved fondue with a luxe twist. From Thursday July 15 to Sunday August 29, W Brisbane is inviting guests to Dip It – Dip It Real Good at Living Room Bar with a new array of decadent bites, dips and cocktails dripping in gold.

Cacao enthusiasts will be more than satisfied at W Brisbane’s fondue extravaganza, where sweet treats are aplenty Thursday through to Sunday from 4:00 pm. A melted pot of Valrhona milk chocolate is the centrepiece of the fanciful feast, circled by heavenly churros, mouth-watering macarons and jumbo marshmallows as well as fresh strawberries, blueberries and banana skewers. Those who want to go all out can indulge in stacked waffles dripping in gold and marbled brownies, or for that extra touch, top your chocolate-soaked confections in coconut shavings, almond crumble and whipped cream.

The cocktail menu isn’t to be scoffed at either and has been carefully curated by Living Room Bar’s masterful mixologists to pair perfectly with the fondue selection. Gather your sipping companions and go halves on the hot toddy-inspired sip Feels so Grand, a blend of elderberry Belvedere Vodka infusion, pomegranate syrup, cranberry and lavender bitters and strawberry cream black blooming tea served in a teapot. For a side of theatrics, tempt your tastebuds with the Death by Chocolate, which combines toasted coconut chips, Woodford Reserve Bourbon, almond milk, Guatemalan drinking chocolate and cinnamon syrup served with a freshly baked cookie dipped and coated with tempered gold cocoa butter. To top it off, DJ Little Fritter will be spinning fresh beats while you settle in for a night of indulgent desserts and cocktails. Living Room Bar’s fondue for two is $59.
