Valentine's Day dinner Brisbane

Head to a Romeo & Juliet restaurant for Valentine’s Day

The day of St Valentine is just around the corner and while we trust you’ve arranged the perfect evening far in advance, here’s a few romantic restaurants that still have spots left should you need to organise a last-minute rendezvous.

1889 Enoteca at Woolloongabba was voted Best Romeo & Juliet Restaurant in the map magazine and The Weekend Edition Eat/drink Awards last year, making reservations essential for this Valentine’s Day. The decadent Italian restaurant will be serving a three-course meal, including a glass of prosecco on arrival. Understanding that a one-size-fits-all approach won’t appeal to every heart this Valentine’s Day, 1889 Enoteca offers an array of choices within its set menu. Indulge in a salad of peach, mozzarella, tomato and basil or a selection of cured meats with bread and olive oil to start, followed by the Pappardelle Al Ragu or Market Fish with Asparagus, Caper & Egg Salsa. Dessert comes in the form of tiramisu, panna cotta, chocolate tart or cheese to close.

The like-minded Tartufo at Emporium is allowing romantic diners to choose from the entire a la carte menu on this special evening. If French fare is your loved one’s romantic cuisine of choice, Baguette Bistrot and Bar at Ascot and Rhubarb Rhubarb at Wooloowin still have tables available, with both offering set packages. Spring, Gerard’s Bistro and First Class Lounge and Dining also all have you covered for last-minute bookings.

Or if something more casual is more your style, we’d recommend packing a picnic of cheese, champagne and oysters and finding a vacant grassy knoll with a city lights view at Kangaroo Point or South Bank.
