TheFork Festival is offering half-price feeds at your favourite restaurants

We’ll be honest with you – in the throes of winter, it can be pretty hard to resist the lure of the couch in favour of going out and about. However, there are plenty of reasons to brave the (very mild) cold and explore your city’s culinary landscape – and global online reservation giant TheFork has just added a seriously enticing drawcard into the mix. For six mouth-watering weeks starting from July 1, hungry gourmands all across the country can take advantage of TheFork Festival, a curated selection of restaurants offering a whopping 50 percent off your total food bill.

The concept of TheFork Festival is pretty darn simple – in exchange for supporting your local dining scene, you get rewarded with a very tasty discount. Restaurant reservations typically see a dip in the cooler months, so TheFork (who you might be familiar with as its previous incarnation Dimmi) decided to come up with a tangible way to support Australian venues looking for a boost. The festival provides a great opportunity to nab a bargain, try something new or splash out on extras – because with half the total of your bill chopped off, you can totally justify some sneaky entrees.

So where can you add to your hit list during TheFork Festival? We hope you’re feeling hungry, because more than 250 restaurants around the country have signed up to offer reduced bills over the course of the next six weeks. Brisbane spots that have jumped on board include River Quay Fish, Moda, Hello Gorgeous, Comuna Cantina and more, while Gold Coast diners can treat themselves at the likes of Hyde Paradiso, Kokum, Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium, plus a handful more of choice selections. You can take a look at the full range of participating restaurants and dates for Brisbane here and for the Gold Coast here.

Keen to grab a fantastic feast for a fraction of the price? TheFork Festival is running from Monday July 1 to Sunday August 11 – to secure a deal, head to TheFork’s website or make a booking via TheFork app.
