Award-winning treats at The Whisk Fine Patisserie in Mount Gravatt

Justin Yu has been one of Australia’s best pastry chefs for years, and he has now turned his talents towards running his own gourmet patisserie in Mount Gravatt.

You might like croissants, but you’ve never seen croissants like the ones available at The Whisk Fine Patisserie. These gargantuan pastries have been crafted by the masterful hand of Justin Yu, an acclaimed pastry chef who trained in Belgium, Chicago and Taiwan before winning awards and notoriety as part of Team Pastry Australia. The crew competed against other top-tier countries for several years and Justin’s teams earned first place in Singapore in 2012 and a top seven finish in France in 2013. After hanging up the competitive apron, Justin decided to bring some world-class experience to his local neighbourhood, opening The Whisk Fine Patisserie in February 2016.

The cosy space has been outfitted with the latest and greatest baking apparatus, where Justin works solo to pump out hundreds of pastries every week and well as macaroons and hand-made chocolates. Fresh Danishes and and croissants are made with high quality Belgian butter and French flour, sharing cabinet space with blueberry, strawberry and passionfruit almond tarts, macadamia brownies and more. The Whisk Fine Patisserie also serves delicious cups of Cleanskin coffee for those looking for a pick-me-up to go along with their sweet treat.
