Enjoy green surrounds at The Tree House, South Bank

The dappled light of the sun filters through the leaves of trees and vines, playing tricks on the pavement outside The Tree House, a new addition to South Bank’s cafe scene.

Husband-and-wife duo Sean and Tania Forrest have aptly named their new venture after the beautiful outlook from the second-story cafe, which boasts cool breezes, leafy surrounds and a natural aesthetic. Walking up to the second level, you are transported into the branches of the trees lining Grey Street, ensconced in greenery and an industrial metal feature wall cut into a pattern of leaves.

Downstairs, Sean busily goes about brewing velvety Supreme Roasters coffee and creamy hot chocolates. Following a liquor licence approval, The Tree House will also become home to a bar with relaxing lounge chairs and evening tapas options.
