The Single Guys opens at Kenmore
Kenmore has gained a new coffee haunt with the opening of The Single Guys. Run by gents Ben Graham and Scott Wilson, The Single Guys delivers fine coffee and a simple menu among minimalist, Scandinavian-inspired surrounds.
Soft tones of wood meet dashes of black and blue, with clean lines well matched to draped Edison bulbs. Scott built the bar and tables himself, with the pair also hoping to add more seating out the front quite soon.
With the aim to share their knowledge of coffee, its origins and the processes involved from crop to cup, the lads are serving a mild house blend and a rotating, more adventurous feature blend in espresso and pour-over forms. The house blend is a mesh of Costa Rican and Ethiopian beans, one washed and one natural, to produce a creamy and sweet brew, with Bunker chocolate sitting atop cappuccinos and within hot chocolates.
The likes of Baked Eggs and Mushroom, Asparagus and Pecorino on Toast is set to grace the breakfast menu, along with homemade muffins and brownies for morning tea.
