Kenmore’s The Single Guys goes plural with its new inner-city joint

Kenmore specialty coffee hub The Single Guys has opened its brand-new location on Charlotte Street in Brisbane City, offering its signature brand of on-point service and top-notch coffee. If you need an excuse to unchain yourself from your desk and get out of the office, the team at The Single Guys will be more than happy to ease your woes.
There has never been a better time to be an inner-city coffee drinker. Specialty cafes have become a common sight on many of the CBD’s streets, but any coffee addict will tell you that too much is never enough – and they’re right. The Single Guys is the latest newcomer to the Brisbane City offering, but anyone that knows a thing or two about Brisbane coffee knows that The Single Guys is an established veteran of the scene. For years, The Single Guys has been drawing in droves of breakfast seekers and coffee drinkers to its Kenmore home – earning its reputation as a must-try destination thanks to its combination of stellar service, brilliant brunch and primo pours. Seeing an opportunity to bring its brand of renowned hospitality to The City, The Single Guys decided to be single no more – fashioning a brand-new location on Charlotte Street complete with a modern fit-out (courtesy of Studio Lagom), a larger kitchen and a spacious outside dining space.
You can’t talk about The Single Guys without discussing coffee and fans of the good stuff will find plenty to like here. Much like the Kenmore location, The Single Guys is serving its own branded variety of coffee roasted by Parallel Roasters, including a house blend, a rotating single origin and two varieties of filter coffee – batch brewed and manually brewed. The single origins will change regularly, with guest roasters also looking to feature in the near future. Tea, cold-brew coffee off tap, juice and hot chocolate are also available for those seeking something a bit different. The Single Guys Brisbane City is starting its first few weeks of service with a simple menu, before expanding once everything is running smoothly. Breakfast bites currently include fried eggs with sobrassada and gorgonzola on toasted rye, roasted corn with peppers, shallots, garlic yoghurt and zucchini flowers, and waffles with honeycomb, grilled banana, nutmeg and vanilla ice-cream. The larger kitchen space allows The Single Guys team to experiment with new dishes not found at the Kenmore location – so be sure to check in often to see what’s new.
