Stop in for a healthy snack at The Peanut Van
One of Queensland’s best growers and distributors of munch-worthy peanuts is Kingaroy’s The Peanut Van. The Patch family is driving its van to Brisbane to share its delicious snacks at the Eat Street Markets.
Every year, The Peanut Van retails more than 100 tonnes of peanuts across Queensland. Since it began in 1969, the business has become a thriving organisation, employing dozens of workers who are simply nuts about nuts. In addition to its iconic vans, the business also distributes peanuts through a mail-order service, which sends bags of the golden snack across Australia and the world. Chris and Robbie Patch are the owners and operators of The Peanut Van organisation, and they are both committed to producing quality peanuts in an environmentally conscious way.
If you are keen to get your hands on a bag or two of some delectable peanuts, peanut paste or oils, you can catch The Peanut Van at Eat Street Markets on April 17 and 18 for its special Southern Queensland Country event, as well as a number of other markets around Brisbane. Check out The Peanut Van’s Facebook page to follow its movements.
