While the end results tend to attract a hungry mob of new pals, the act of baking can sometimes be a lonely pursuit. But this may soon be a thing of the past, with Queensland’s Kialla Pure Foods calling together like-minded sweet tooths to celebrate a quarter of a century in organic grain milling. Prop up the laptop, slip on the oven mitts and join a virtual community of bakers at The Kialla Bake-Along from 4:30 pm Queensland time on Sunday December 8.

The inaugural livestream e-bake invites budding bakers to participate in a live, virtual cooking session, complete with step-by-step instructions, plenty of opportunities to ask questions and educated insight from a range of experts. The Google+ Hangout On Air will take you into ‘Cake Girl’ Gillian Bell’s kitchen to learn how to bake a stunner of a cake this Christmas. The baking master will be joined by a virtual panel of guests, including farmers, gardeners and sustainability experts, to discuss how your food choices can impact the environment.
