Brighten up your baked goods with The Grainge Jams
From baked goods to ice-cream and even cocktails, home cooks and restaurant chefs alike are adding a burst of flavour and colour to their recipes with a touch of jam.
Frustrated by the lack of high-quality homemade jam on the market, Paul Grainger took matters into his own hands and began making jams in his family kitchen, the way his mother used to do. His operations have expanded to a commercial kitchen on the Gold Coast and his homemade jams are now found in delis and stores all over Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast under the label The Grainge Jams.
The jams are handmade in small batches to retain their natural vibrant colour and fruity flavour. They are not overly processed and only use citrus pectin to thicken, so there are no artificial flavours or colours. The secret is the high-quality dessert-grade fruit that makes up more than 60% of the The Grainge Jams contents.
The Grainge range offers five fine preserves including raspberry, boysenberry, three-fruit marmalade, a combination of raspberry and boysenberry, and a seasonal special of apricot. Find The Grainge Jams at the Powerhouse Farmers Markets, Mitchelton Farmers Markets and Manly Farmers Markets.
If the proof is in the pudding, stop by one of The Grainge Jams’ market stalls this weekend for a taster and imagine how you could incorporate this flavour blast into your cooking.
