The Good Beer Co encourages drinking for a good cause
A new social enterprise is taking on the world of craft beer. The Good Beer Co is looking to create a new brew that will help support Australian causes.
When it comes to enjoying the first sip of a hard-earned beer, many don’t spare a thought for the plight of the Great Barrier Reef. While it might not be the first thing on anyone’s mind at happy hour, The Good Beer Co is hoping that the process of drinking can help keep the reef in good condition for future generations to enjoy. The Good Beer Co has launched a crowd-funding campaign to help produce the Greet Barrier Beer, the sales of which will see 50 per cent of profits sent to the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
The Good Beer Co has partnered with the Bargara Brewing Company to help produce the beer, and will partner with a range of other breweries to help raise funds for different causes. Supporters of the crowd-funding movement will be the first to sample the Great Barrier Beer, and will have a say in its label design as well as future beer recipes and causes.
