The Euro Garden opens for Friday laneway fun

The folk behind epicurean trio Urbane, The Euro and The Laneway Bar in Brisbane City have upped their laneway cool, launching The Euro Garden.

Popping up in Spencer Lane off Mary Street, The Euro Garden will feature every Friday from 12:00 pm, serving freshly grilled barbecue eats and a selection of beers and ciders. Executive chef Alejandro Cancino can be found behind the barbecue from 12:00–3:00 pm, plating up Bangalow pulled pork and sticky chicken wings to lunchtime punters. Also on the menu is juicy barbecue corn with parmesan, chilli and lime, Lyonnais potatoes and crisp Caesar salad, with chicken skewers and prawns rounding up the offerings.

The industrial edge of the surrounding architecture is warmed by recycled timber tables and softened by The Euro’s vertical herb garden. Featured beers include those from Kilkenny, Heineken and Kirin breweries, with Somersby ciders and Urbane’s extensive wine list also available to choose from. This latest addition to the city’s laneway scene is sure to draw a crop of city workers each Friday lunch and is worth the trek into town if an intimate evening beverage is on the cards.
