Settle in and stay a while at The Croft House Town Kitchen & Bar

The next time you walk past the corner of Charlotte and Albert Streets, you’re sure to do a double take. The site that was Palettes for many, many years has been completely transformed, making way for stellar coffee, ice-cold brews and a whole lot of charcuterie. Introducing The Croft House Town Kitchen & Bar.

When we say the space has been completely transformed, we’re not exaggerating – The Croft House Town Kitchen & Bar bears no resemblance to its predecessor. You’ll now find large street-facing windows, perfect for people watching from early morning to late evening, as well as herringbone tile details, cushy leather seating and sleek brass finishes. The bar and eatery has got the city crowd covered for leisurely meals, grab-and-go bites and laid-back drinks, so you can settle in to a booth or simply swing by the coffee window for a Wolff Coffee and one-handed eats (including Donut Boyz doughnuts).

When it comes to counter selections, The Croft House isn’t messing around. Morning sees it brimming with fresh fruit, juices and pastries, lunchtime rolls out bountiful salads and gourmet sandwiches, and from 3:00 pm the charcuterie spread of the day is revealed – we’re talking the likes of white wine, rosemary and garlic sopressa, black-truffle salami, and creamy aged cheese. Ah, what a beautiful sight to behold. If you prefer something more substantial, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served each day, as well as a selection of share plates and desserts (note: try the signature chocolate dessert!). The Croft House also has plenty to wet your whistle (new after-work drinks spot, anyone?), with a diverse selection wine and craft beers on offer.
