The Brewnette Coffee Van pops up at Indooroopilly
While the standard of coffee available inside petrol stations has never been top notch, one fuel stop in Indooroopilly has gained an external coffee gem. The Brewnette Coffee Van is a refurbished campervan turned coffee-crafting machine, tucked into a corner of the Freedom Fuels station along Moggill Road.
With its previous owner, the van operated under the name Silver Joes, but speedy barista Jangelah took over three months ago and has been slowly shaping the silver American Airstream to her own style. The van was rebranded by Moonshine Madness, and Jangelah has a tangible Tumblr collage inside the window to keep her inspired throughout the day.
Serving Dancing Bean coffee in any form you like, The Brewnette Coffee Van lets you text in your order – name, coffee order, size (small, medium or large) and any extras – so it’s ready when you arrive. A handy pit stop for those commuting city-bound, the van also does an iced latte, chocolate, mocha and chai to combat the warmer weather, with the sparkling lemon iced tea inspired by Jangelah’s mum’s recipe.
Keeping things simple, takeaway is the best option, but there are a few stools out for those wanting to stay and chat a while. Keep an eye out for the second van that will be up and running soon.
