Rosalie welcomes The Bounty Restaurant & Bar

Rosalie is welcoming the newest member to its dining family, The Bounty Restaurant & Bar, a new eatery plating up delectable modern Australian fare.

Cameron Murchison, former co-owner of Esquire on Eagle Street, has stepped back from the high-pressure world of fine dining to try his hand at running a more relaxed eatery in suburban Rosalie with his new venture, The Bounty Restaurant & Bar. Alongside notable Brisbane chef Emlyn Thorrington, formerly of Melbourne’s Stokehouse and Brisbane’s Peasant and Cabiria, Cameron has chosen to explore the possibilities of restaurant dining that caters to those seeking something casual. Cameron has brought his consummate taste and eye for business to the Baroona Road precinct, sourcing quality ingredients, employing approachable service practices and curating a cracking selection of meals.

The Bounty lives up to its namesake, with an abundance of delicious meal options that fill a niche in the Rosalie area for those seeking modern Australian cuisine or a casual bar that caters to the local community. Based at the former location of Rosa’s Mexicano, the spot now boasts a completely new fit-out including copper lights, banquet seating and a brand-new bar. The Bounty features a spacious seating plan, with an open facade allowing for gentle breezes and ample people-watching opportunities. Recycled brick walls are juxtaposed with splashes of colour, giving the dining and bar area a refreshing look.

Emlyn has designed a menu that features breakfast, lunch and dinner options with a different menu catering for each. Lunch choices include burgers, sandwiches, salads and a selection of main meals, while the dinner menu encompasses a wide array of meals ranging from share plates to mains. Patrons can sample dishes such as crab tart, cured trout, roast duck, grilled sirloin steaks and pot roast lamb shoulder, washed down with one of the many beers and wines on the drinks menu. The Bounty also has tidy cocktail list which features experimental concoctions such as the Veggie Patch Bloody Mary and a bottled variation of the Old Fashioned, which infuses crispy bacon wash to give it a nice smoky flavour.
