Enjoy some cracking atmosphere and nosh at Bulimba’s Tap & Crackle
Oxford Street has welcomed a new versatile venue to its midst with the arrival of Tap & Crackle – a sunny and friendly cafe, bar and restaurant that offers something for everyone from early morning through to the evening.
It’s been an exciting year for Bulimba locals with a truckload of new bars and restaurants popping up all over the place, keeping the suburb as fresh and exciting as any other inner-city hotspot. The latest to join the gallery of eateries on Oxford Street is Tap & Crackle, a funky fresh multi-hyphenate venue that offers coffee and cafe fare in the morning through to tapas and frothy beers in the evening. Tap & Crackle sits a few meters from the street front in a location on the corner of Oxford and Warnambool Streets. The space has been refurbished inside and out, with a new deck added to entice punters in to take advantage some welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
Should you happen to stroll in early, Tap & Crackle will sit you down for breakfast. The morning menu offers great day starters such as a potato rosti stack with bacon, avocado and haloumi, Nutella lamingtons with French toast and macerated strawberries and a Buddha bowl – chock full of kale, avocado, haloumi, mushrooms and poached eggs. If you prefer to venture out around sunset, Tap & Crackle again has you covered with a range of tapas. We’re talking Buffalo wings, chilli-salted calamari, pulled pork sliders and the house signature pork crackling and fried chicken – you know, the good stuff. Also of note – kids are catered for with one of the largest children’s menus in Brisbane. Tap & Crackle has also linked up with Fortitude Brewing to create its own house beer, which is backed up ably by a selection of ciders, wines and cocktails.
