Tanqueray, Matt Preston and Marley Spoon create the ultimate dinner party experience

Tucking into a perfectly cooked meal at a restaurant is an enjoyable experience, but there’s something to be said for a home-cooked feast with friends and family gathered around a table. Sure, the food may be slightly imperfect and the drinks a little less fancy (unless you also happen to moonlight as an amateur bartender) but the laughs are always louder and conversation decidedly more spirited at home. As the host, there’s a certain sense of accomplishment that comes with transforming a collection of ingredients into a meal for your nearest and dearest – you can almost taste the satisfaction with a dash of smugness because after all, you made this. If you’re a fan of hosting but don’t necessarily have the culinary prowess of a MasterChef, we have some excellent news – Tanqueray has joined forces with Matt Preston and Marley Spoon to create the ultimate dinner party box so you can impress the pants off your guests.

If you are looking to up your dinner-party game, the Tanqueray x Marley Spoon Ultimate Dinner Party Box is here to save you from culinary disaster. The first-of-its-kind dining box has been curated by Matt Preston himself to conveniently package everything you need to be crowned the hostess (or host) with the mostest. The first box is Korean themed and is jam-packed with all the recipes and ingredients needed to serve a three-course meal for six people, as well as a tipple of Tanqueray London Dry Gin for elevated G&Ts. So, what’s on the menu? Start with an entree of brussels sprouts bao buns with lap cheong and fish sauce caramel, followed by a main of Gochujang beef-fillet lettuce cups with shiso, kimchi and ssamjang mayo, and sides of crisp roasted sweet potatoes with miso-almond butter and charred broccolini with spring onion and sesame. Bring your home-cooked feast to a fitting conclusion with a chocolate walnut torte with pears, butterscotch and a sprinkling of gold dust. Thirsty? Sip Tanqueray gin, Fever Tree tonic, ginger and shiso leaf or upgrade to Tanqueray’s small-batch No.TEN gin for a little extra.

The first Korean-themed Tanqueray x Marley Spoon Ultimate Dinner Party Box is $269 (or $299 for Tanquerays No.TEN gin) and is available to pre-order from now until March 29. The boxes will be delivered to your door from March 9 to April 5 and if fanciful French fare is more your vibe, there’s a French-themed box available to pre-order from March 30 to April 26. The French box features pissaladiere with anchovy and capsicum and black olives (rough puff pastry), roasted Sommerlad chicken with duck-fat potatoes, bread sauce and butter-lettuce salad and chocolate mousse for dessert. To order, jump over here and then start mentally compiling the guest list.
