The round-up: where to light up the night for Sunsuper Riverfire 2019
Let’s set the scene – a cloudless night, a cool breeze, a glass of something sparkling in one hand and an entire skyline illuminated by the snap, pop and fizz of fireworks. If this mental image was enough to give you goosebumps, then we’d hazard a guess that Riverfire is one of your favourite nights of the year. If that’s the case, then you’d probably know that Riverfire is back for 2019, ending September once more with an incredible display of city-spanning pyrotechnics. A plethora of Brisbane venues are hosting Riverfire parties all over town, so if you are keen to secure a spot ahead of time to catch the action, have a gander at this list and decide where you’ll be on Saturday September 28.

Every inch of space under the Story Bridge will be given over to those keen to watch the fireworks from the banks of the Brisbane River. The River Luxury Packages offer guests a reserved beanbag chair in prime position on the riverfront stairs with a bottle of Chandon on arrival to boot. Those that select this package will also be treated to food from one of the nearby outlets and gelato for dessert – not to mention waiter beverage service for extra tipples! The Riverfire Parklands Pack will give groups the chance to stake out a space on the lawns, with tickets also including meals from vendors and access to nearby pop-up bars. That’s not all – several venues along the Wharves will be getting into the Riverfire action, including Arc Dining, Ciao Papi, Mr Percival’s and Felons Brewing Co.
Eagles Nest, Kangaroo Point: The best way to watch Brisbane’s skyline ignite is from up high, and vantage points don’t get much higher than at Eagles Nest.
