The round-up: where to light up the night for Sunsuper Riverfire 2018
Aside from New Year’s Eve, few nights bring Brisbane to life quite like Sunsuper Riverfire. The night, which caps off stellar month-long cultural celebrating Brisbane Festival on Saturday September 29, illuminates the night with fireworks displays, Australian Defence Force fly-overs and parties galore. One of the best ways to enjoy Riverfire is by rolling out a picnic blankets at vantage points along the river, but if you’d rather not jostle for prime position, we’ve put together a list of venues that will be celebrating in style.
Riverland, Brisbane City: Boasting stunning views of the Story Bridge and the Brisbane River, Eagle Street’s Riverland is sure to be one of the best spots to enjoy the fireworks spectacular. Riverlife, Kangaroo Point: If you’re keen on a front-row seat for all of the action, Riverlife underneath the Kangaroo Point cliffs will be offering unobstructed views from river’s edge, with an event boasting pop-up food stalls, drinks and entertainment. Otto Ristorante, Brisbane City: With views overlooking Queen Street to the Brisbane River and the Story Bridge beyond, Otto’s locale is ideal for firework watching. River Quay Fish, South Bank: Dancing and frivolity is great, but if a sophisticated dinner is more your speed these days, then River Quay Fish is the perfect Riverfire location.
