Sunny’s Margate Beach brings burgers and bayside views to Redcliffe
Overlooking the glittering Moreton Bay foreshore and occupying a prime corner position within The Sebel building, this new cafe, restaurant, rooftop bar and function venue has the locals’ tongues wagging.
The chipper yellow-and-white umbrellas standing outside new venue Sunny’s Margate Beach usher guests inside a soul-lifting interior full of bright colours, fresh fare and a welcoming seaside atmosphere. The new venue has brought life back to the recently renovated The Sebel Brisbane Margate Beach, which stands on a coveted corner overlooking the sparkling waters of Moreton Bay. Locals have heeded patience as the new venue opened up in stages while undergoing renovations, but now the cafe, restaurant, rooftop bar and function venue are fully operational and ready to serve. Pop in from 7:00 am to nibble baked goods and sip coffee in the sunshine, fill the belly with a nourishing lunch from the cafe or join the party on the rooftop bar every Friday and Sunday afternoon.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, the cafe and restaurant offer up a well-rounded menu, which veers from Sunny’s signature bun starters filled with Moreton Bay bugs, smoked brisket or spicy karaage, to flash-fried squid and house-made arancini, mighty burgers served with beer-battered chips, and a range of steak options. Carb cravers will be able to swing by on a weekend and take their pick from the pop-up bakehouse, while little tackers are catered for with the usual favourites plus an assortment of signature ice-cream flavours. Sunday sessions and after-work drinks have also been taken up a notch, with a range of signature cocktails to be enjoyed on the rooftop.
