BYO appetite for the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail
Take a self-guided culinary adventure through Sunnybank’s cluster of authentic Asian establishments on Saturday June 18 as the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail pops up for winter.
From steaming noodle soups to crunchy banh mi rolls and pan-friend dumplings, the wealth of authentic Asian delicacies on offer at the winter edition of the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is sure to not only satisfy those food cravings, but also introduce your tastebuds to a variety of new dishes. In its biggest culinary offering to date, more than 40 local restaurants and food outlets across both Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park will unite to each offer one or two special mini dishes at just $2 each (84 menu items are on offer), giving Brisbane diners a small taste of their offerings.
While the southern suburb is renowned for its abundance of Asian food outlets, it can be tough knowing exactly where to start, but this culinary celebration will invite hungry bellies to graze on the full gamut – you can even wash it down with ice-cold beer from the Asahi pop-up bar. More than 20 local musicians and roaming performers will keep you amused between bites, as well as traditional lion dancers. Swing by Sunnybank between 2:00–8:00 pm on on Saturday June 18 and sample a variety of specialty dishes from across China, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan and more.
