What’s your go-to gift? Is it flowers? Or are you one to show your appreciation with a cheeky wink and a box of chocolates? Well, we’re not here to give relationship advice (we’d actually be pretty good at it) or tell you what to do – but next time you need to gift a friend, potential lover or your long-term significant other, you should totally give the gift of sugar … and lots of it. Newly launched Gold Coast company Sugar Gathered is coming to the party with its mind-blowing range of doughnut bouquets, dessert boxes and sugar-filled hampers made to order on the daily.

We know this is a lot to, um, digest. So, have a deep breath and take a brief moment to bask in the fact that doughnut bouquets actually exist. What a time to be alive. So, Sugar Gathered is the sweet little brainchild of Gold Coast local Brogan Idstein, who set out to create an avenue to design, decorate and deliver bundles of sweetness from Tweed Heads to Brisbane. Brogan has a deep-seeded passion for sugar, having made her way through as a semi-finalist on reality television show Zumbo’s Just Desserts and running a successful online blog. So, she totally knows what’s up when it comes to the sweet stuff.

Brogan gathers locally made doughnuts and cronuts, then decorates, customises and pieces together the oh-so-sweet bouquets, hampers and boxes of goodness – the indulgent gifts are then (carefully) couriered to the very lucky receiver. There are plenty of sweet combinations to choose from – there are dessert boxes for the gents, which are heavy on the Nutella and Snickers, colourful eye-catching combos for the little people, and pink-glazed delights for the ladies. If you’re really trying to woo someone, then the ‘I Think I Wanna Marry You!‘ doughnut bouquet, complete with edible pearls, silver white chocolate bark and glistening sprinkles, will most certainly get you across the line. You can check out the Sugar Gathered goodness online, sweeties.
