Hot summer nights – Two Donkeys puts Spring Hill back on the map with new events series

We’re going to go right ahead and say it – Spring Hill is underrated. The small but mighty suburb often gets overlooked for its neighbouring CBD and Fortitude Valley digs, but this is a grave error. One institution that knows this is Two Donkeys, the chill brunch hub that has been bringing delicious eats and spreading good vibes through Spring Hill since its opening in 2016. Two Donkeys is keen to share its postcode love with the rest of us, launching a brand-new event series that will make it the perfect summer hang. Assemble your crew for Spring Hill Summer Nights, your new favourite evening escape.

Spring Hill Summer Nights will be running from Monday to Saturday from 5:00 pm until late, setting up shop in the Two Donkeys breezeway. You can expect a whole bunch of activities ranging from outdoor dancing and paint and sip classes to movie nights and even a barbecue masterclass. Live music will run each Friday night to kick your weekend off the right way, with food and drink available from a cute pop-up bar and the Two Donkeys kitchen. The series has been curated with a relaxed vibe in mind, hoping to embody the feeling of being at a rad backyard party with your friends and fam.

Spring Hill Summer Nights is set to start on Friday November 17 and you’d best believe it’s coming in hot with an opening night to set the right tone. Things kick off at 5:00 pm with a live set from homegrown heroes The Fergies, who you may recognise as the particularly spirited barefoot troupe that often busk in Queen Street Mall. A cider and mojito pop-up bar from the legends at CCA, Rekorderlig and Beenleigh Rum will be on hand to keep things fresh and cool, while the Two Donkeys kitchen will be serving up mouth-watering tapas-style bites. Feast on the likes of soft shell tacos with local king prawns, guacamole and tomato salsa or indulge in a woodfired chilli and pancetta pizza. If sharing is more your style you can grab an artisanal cheese board with roasted walnuts, honey figs, crisp breads and riverland apricots. Weekend vibes, sorted.

Ready to embrace the rising temps? Spring Hill Summer Nights launches on Friday November 17 and it’s free entry, so get ready to sizzle.
