Make new connections over dinner with help from SocialTable

When you hit a certain age it becomes harder to make new friends. Of course, some of you social butterflies will never have any shortage of mates, but in our increasingly digitised society our interactions are becoming more and more superficial. SocialTable is a service that is helping folks disconnect from the apps and meet new people face-to-face over a top-notch dinner. SocialTable’s got two events on the horizon that could be the change you need if you’re on the hunt for pals.

Thanks to the evolution of social media and dating apps, the way we meet new people is changing. SocialTable is a new arrival in Brisbane that looks to facilitate new and meaningful connections through intimate themed dining events, creating a low-pressure environment to socialise without the screens and awkward small talk. The process is simple – SocialTable’s calendar incorporates a series of dinner events that look to cater to a range of interests and age groups, each taking place at one of Brisbane’s new and exciting eateries with exclusive off-menu experiences available at each.

SocialTable has two themed dinner events on the horizon for Brisbane folks to check out. On Thursday February 21 guests can enjoy a ‘friends’ themed thee-course chef’s selection dinner with new friends at Chu The Phat. In early March, Casa Cibo will be the location for SocialTable’s ‘Queensland’s best’ dinner, with a three-course meal made using only local produce. Head to the SocialTable website to book a spot, then get ready for some lively conversation and, hopefully, the beginnings of some strong friendships.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
