Savour Sunday afternoons at Sardine Tin

Savour Sunday afternoons at Sardine Tin

Like French sister restaurant Piaf and soon-to-be Scandinavian-influenced brother Survey Co Bar and Bistro, Sardine Tin is seductively European in its cuisine and relaxing atmosphere.

Best enjoyed pre-sunset, when the air hints at the cool evening to come and a chilled glass of wine slides down with well-deserved ease of a busy week (and possibly weekend) passing.

With a new menu every eight weeks, a visit to Sardine Tin is ever-afresh, with the share plates and light meals curated to the seasonal produce. Jams and relishes are made in house, adding a flavoursome twist to meals.

Try this week’s special, the marble scored waygu rump on Panini with horseradish aioli and beetroot relish matched to a glass of Malbec from Mendoza, and sink into the evening as your muscles unwind with gastronome pleasure.

We recommend the wild mushroom croquettes to start – delicious crumbed oblong creations, served hot with a smooth, cream, truffle-tinted centre – and the buche d’affinois cheese to close, all the while people watching, grazing and savouring this humble yet gourmet experience in the company of friends.
