Gold Coast-born dessert destination Rosé Gelateria brings its specialty scoops to Portside Wharf

Hamilton’s riverside hub is continuing its revival with a palate-pleasing portfolio of culinary concepts popping up left, right and centre, helping to re-establish the precinct as a top-tier epicurean district. Joining the likes of seafood nosh-spot Fosh and French-inspired boulangerie Rise Bakery is Rosé Gelateria – a Gold Coast-born dessert destination that’s bringing its specialty gelato and decadent desserts to Portside Wharf. Our friends on the Gold Coast already rave about Rosé Gelateria’s spectacular selection of sweets, but here’s the scoop for the uninitiated.

Those who have ventured down south to the Gold Coast have probably enjoyed a drool-worthy scoop (or two) of gelato from Rosé Gelateria. Known for its rose-toned aesthetic and myriad of mouth-watering desserts, Rosé Gelateria, which is owned by husband-and-wife duo Bronson Tucker and Diana Prinz, has now opened up north. The third gelateria, the other two sitting pretty at Sanctuary Cove and Main Beach, is now slinging a sublime selection of one-of-a-kind scoops in its fresh space at Portside Wharf. Pleasing for the palate, as well as the eyes, loyal fans of the beloved gelato dispensary can expect to see the familiar pink-hued walls, crisp white indoor and outdoor decor and eye-catching gold accents as they step foot into Rosé Gelateria‘s new digs. “We take great pride in the glamorous interior and exquisite ambiance we have crafted, where our iconic rose-toned French-washed walls are harmoniously blended with pristine white indoor and outdoor furnishings, adorned with gold accents,” says Bronson. “To cater to the diverse preferences of our guests, our store design also includes dedicated areas for gelato indulgence including cosy cafe seating and convenient takeaway options so customers can savour their treats on-site or on the go.”

Moving onto the main event (yes, we’re referring to the gelato), Rosé Gelateria‘s finger-licking menu boasts 20 signature flavours (encompassing a range of vegan and dairy-free options), four limited-edition flavours that will rotate each month, as well as a range of fur-baby friendly flavours for your pooch to enjoy. Standouts include the rose gelato made with rosewater and topped with rose petals, and the Biscoff gelato, which is made with biscuit spread and infused with caramel. “Every flavour on our menu is inspired by our journey to Florence, Italy, and the knowledge we gained from learning the authentic art of gelato-making, ensuring an exceptional and truly authentic experience for our customers,” says Diana. Alongside all of the gelato-related goodness, sweet tooths will spy a smorgasbord of artisan goodies and drinks, such as macarons and cookies, fresh juices, creamy milkshakes and specialty coffee.

Rosé Gelateria is now open at Portside Wharf and is located near the Dendy Cinemas. Head to our Stumble Guide for opening hours and other information.
