River Quay lures with weekday lunch offers
Winter has finally arrived and while there is no denying the temperatures have dropped, you have to admit that winter sunshine is pretty wonderful. Those eager to step outside the office and bask in the rays on their lunch break can head down to River Quay on winter weekdays.
If the spectacular views and winter sun aren’t enough to lure you from your desk, River Quay’s five premier dining locales – Stokehouse Q, Aquitaine Brasserie, Popolo Italian Kitchen and Bar, The Jetty and Cove Bar + Dining – are plating up special weekday lunch offers throughout June and July.
Stokehouse Q is offering lunchtime diners two courses served with a glass of wine for $38, with award-winning chef Richard Ousby creating a beautifully presented menu of fresh seasonal fare such as smoked pork salad with black angus tongue, beetroot, endive, pickle and hot English mustard. Across the path at Aquitaine Brasserie you can enjoy two courses of artistically plated French cuisine and a glass of house wine for $35 per person – you will even find locally sourced snails on the menu.
If Italian is your international cuisine of choice, Popolo has you covered. Take an extended lunch break and graze over four small courses to share, including three-cheese arancini with roast pumpkin puree, pork and beef meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, pumpkin and ricotta ravioli in burnt sage butter and green beans with fetta and almonds. All this is served with an aperitif for $24 per person.
Those who love the idea of grazing with pals can also head to Cove Bar + Dining, which is offering an antipasto platter of fresh seasonal produce with cold meats, olives, pickles and more, accompanied by a refreshing jug of Pimm’s for $20 per person. At The Jetty you’ll be able to enjoy an entree of marinated pork belly with red basil, charred pineapple and hot beetroot glaze, followed by a main of tempura flathead, shoestring fries, grilled lemon, wombok slaw and saffron aioli, served with a glass of house wine or beer for $35 per person.
