Celebrate local food at Regional Flavours

This weekend’s Regional Flavours festival focuses on celebrating the joys of food, so gather the troops and feast on the very best morsels our state has to offer.

Immerse yourself in a delicious food adventure at South Bank’s Regional Flavours between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm this Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21. A host of celebrity chefs, boutique food producers and local entertainers will fill the Parklands, from River Quay to Little Stanley Street and out to The Courier-Mail Piazza. The free Epicurious Tent will feature a packed program of demonstrations, masterclasses and conversations, where experts like River Cottage Australia’s Paul West and beer writer Matt Kirkegaard will share tips on sustainable eating, barbecuing and more.

Around 100 food stalls will line Little Stanley Street, offering punters a chance to meet the masters behind their favourite brands, including Barambah Organics, Secret Pantry and the Noosa Chocolate Factory. Little chefs will also be kept amused with a range of free interactive workshops, demonstrations and hands-on activities at The Food Imaginarium. Kitchen Whiz host Alice Zaslavsky will join a troupe of other entertainers to inspire young minds and encourage creativity in the kitchen.

The Hunting Club will showcase native Australian flavours, while River Quay and gourmet food ‘trucks’ will be offering sample plates of some of South Bank’s best dining destinations. Find the complete Regional Flavours program online.
