Where to refuel while shopping at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre

Your Christmas gift-buying strategy may be doing small bursts at a time, or committing to an all-day marathon so you can walk out of the centre doors knowing you’re not coming back. Either way, Christmas shopping is so much better when you start with a coffee, break for a coffee, and then break the afternoon stretch with a sweet indulgence (and of course, more coffee). To ensure you’re sustained on your gift-buying missions, The Weekend Edition has put together a guide to refuelling at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre this silly season.

MORNING COFFEE
Grab a copy of the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre pocket guide (or download the new Indooroopilly app) before making your way to Foundry Artisan Coffee on Level 3, to plan your shopping day. While serving perfectly brewed espresso every time, Foundry’s cold-drip coffee is a must for a completely different taste experience. If you’d prefer to start on Level 1 and work your way up, Coffee Hit, with its in-store roaster, is your go-to caffeine supplier. The scent of freshly roasted beans will pick you up before you even take your first sip.

LUNCH BREAK
With bags in tow, escape the shopping scene for just a short while and head to Yum Cha Cuisine on Level 1 for mouth-watering flavours packed into little parcels of goodness. Steamed prawn and duck rolls or sticky rice and meat in lotus leaf feature on the menu, with the regular spread of dumpling and steam buns. If you’d prefer a liquid lunch of the nutritious kind, head to Raw Juicery on the same level. Using raw organic fresh ingredients and using a process to retain 100% of the nutrients, you will definitely get through the afternoon with one of its refreshing concoctions. You can also head to the Station Road Dining precinct to get your fix of international cuisine, with The Mero Kitchen & Bar, Harajuku Gyoza, Olé Fuego, Nantucket Kitchen and Bar and Pig ‘n’ Whistle. Alternatively, grab a quick bite to eat at the food court located on Level 3.

AFTERNOON SWEEET TREAT
This is to get you through that last hour or two before you hit a wall. You can find a good selection of coffee bars on Level 2, including Crema Espresso, Cafe One, Cafe XS and The Coffee Club, or more on Level 3 such as Panorama Cafe, Shingle Inn, Muffin Break and Gloria Jeans Coffee. Of course they all serve an array of sweets, cakes and slices, but if you aren’t starting your shopping spree until December 13, pick up a takeaway coffee and head to Koko Black for a dose of chocolate decadence. Launching Saturday December 13, Koko Black’s range of artisan chocolates will send your head spinning. And if you still have a few outstanding presents to buy, this is a sweet alternative that will please any recipient.
