Raw ‘n Juicy organic juice bar opens in Brisbane City
If you’re not the proud owner of a cold-press juicer to make delicious fruit and veg concoctions at home, finding a decent freshly squeezed juice when temptation beckons can be quite the task. A mecca for healthy breakfast and lunch staples, Raw ‘n Juicy is an organic juice and salad bar now open in Brisbane City.
Situated along Adelaide Street, Raw ‘n Juicy is the creation of Orazio D’Arro, who wanted to create a concept store where all ingredients used are 100% organic, raw and gluten free. Gold Coast-based organic chef Matt Dickson has developed the salad recipes, while a nutritionist has informed the juices and smoothies.
Thinking outside the usual takeaway fruit juice ingredients, Raw ‘n Juicy sees the likes of the Digester juice – aloe vera, apple, lime, spinach, ginger and mint – and smoothies of coconut, figs, banana, cinnamon and coconut water or banana, strawberries, blueberries and kale grace the menu. At breakfast, there is a range of acai bowls and fruit salad to pick up on the way to the office, while at lunch, the ever-changing list of salads includes Raw Zucchini with macadamia, lime and coriander dressing and Broccolini and Mushrooms with herbs and balsamic dressing.
This juice and salad bar also acts partly as an organic grocer, with passersby able to pick up bags of Maple Museli and tubs of Barambah yoghurt, as well as Addiction Food Bars, Totally Nuts activated nuts and Organic Times chocolate-coated coffee beans to snack on. Cocoluscious ice-creams are on the way, while Buchi Kombucha, Parker’s iced teas and juices and coconut water can be found amongst the bottled cool beverages.
