Rise early for a flavoursome breakfast burrito from Puerto Taco

The food truck revolution is in full force, as mobile food kitchens across Brisbane’s market scene dish up the likes of tacos, burgers, salads, curries, sweets and seafood to the market-going masses.

Relative newcomer to the markets is Puerto Taco,  purpose built with eco-friendly solar panels and bench tops so shiny that any top chef would be impressed. With a passion for Mexican food, Puerto Taco serve up tacos crafted from fresh seafood, slow-cooked meats and homemade salsas. And with the philosophy of it never being to early for a taco, Puerto Taco have just introduced the Breaky Burrito, with chorizo, bacon, egg, refried beans, tomato relish, hot sauce, cabbage, roasted capsicum, cheese and bourbon barbecue sauce.

If you’re one to drag your feet a little and like to roll in to the markets closer to lunchtime, then try the fish taco with New Zealand hoki, lightly battered with Mexican spices, the pulled-pork taco with picked red onion and thinly sliced cabbage, or the beef taco topped with chipotle mayo.

Sample these Mexican morsels at The Village Markets at Kelvin Grove and the Boggo Road Markets each Saturday and Sunday.
