Warm yourself this winter with Portside’s weeknight eats
Hamilton’s popular dining precinct is set to establish itself as a go-to destination for mid-week dining this cold season. Several of the area’s best hospitality hotspots will be offering some fantastic deals that will certainly be enough to draw you out from underneath your doona.
We get it – winter makes a lot of things harder to do. Coming home after a long day and cooking is probably the least appealing thing you undertake after work, but you’ve got to eat. From Monday June 5 to Thursday August 31, Portside Wharf will be the place to dine out, with several of the precinct’s eateries offering dining specials for $20 or less every Monday to Thursday.
The specials encompass all manner of cuisines, from burgers to seafood chowder to Japanese bento. If you want to heat up your week, Aamaya Indian Restaurant is offering $12 curry Mondays, while the Burrito Bar is offering $1.95 tacos on Mondays and 25-cent wings on Wednesdays. If you’ve lined up a mid-week date night, head to Byblos while it serves two cocktails for $20, then back it up with wine or cocktails plus a tapas share plate for $15 each. Other venues getting in on the action include Hello Harry, Fresh N Wild Fish, Bamboo Basket and Ginga Japanese.
