Pig and Kraut
Suzanne and Brett Lang are the owners and operators of Pig and Kraut, a brand new pop-up serving grilled German Bratwurst, Belgian-style frites and iced tea. The duo spent time running an iced tea stall in New York City, and have now swapped busy boulevards and high-rises for the scenic surrounds of South Bank. Located in the South Bank Parklands, Pig and Kraut serves takeaway and dine-in options, with an inviting alfresco dining area serving as a perfect escape from the summer heat. All sausages are made from locally sourced meat that has been smoked for up to a week, while all iced tea flavours are brewed from natural loose-leaf blends.

Gandhi Indian Kitchen & Laneway Stall
While on the topic of South Bank food vendors, Gandhi Indian Kitchen has recommenced operations after briefly closing to update its look and menu offering. Now known as Gandhi Indian Kitchen & Laneway Stall, the Little Stanley Street spot has drawn upon Indian street food culture for its new offering, introducing a new selection of dishes from South and North India in its lunch and dinner menu. The venue also boasts a new street food cart located outside the restaurant, serving up a selection of daily specials perfect for grabbing on the go. Gandhi Indian Kitchen & Laneway Stall will also be introducing a traditional Indian breakfast menu on weekends in the near future.

Marchetti Aperitivo Nights
Tucked away inside Tattersall’s Arcade, Marchetti has become a popular spot for intimate get-togethers thanks to its Italian cafe-meets-wine bar aesthetic. On Friday Novmeber 20 from 5:00 pm, Marchetti will be debuting its Aperitivo Night, a weekly event where patrons will be treated to classic Italian bites such as crostini, arancini and spiadini, while sipping on Negroni, Americano and Campari plus Italian wines by the glass.

LONgTIME’s Monday Night Dining
Acclaimed Fortitude Valley dining institution LONgTIME has taken it upon itself to provide early week dining in the lead-up to Christmas. Noticing the dearth of Monday dining options in the area, LONgTIME is encouraging locals to stop in for dinner on Monday nights from December 7–21 to take advantage of the menu without the hustle and bustle of the weekend dining crowd.
