Pavement Whispers: Volume 54 December 22

From whispers of doughnut burgers to bars on wheels, The Weekend Edition is always on the search for the latest news in Brisbane, dedicated to ensuring its readers are in the know. When we put our ears to the pavement this week, this is what we found out …

Ze Pickle x Doughnut Time
Known for its crazy burger combinations (hello, 4:20AM) and heart-thumping desserts (Oreogazm, anyone?), Ze Pickle is upping the ante with its latest creation. The team has partnered up with Doughnut Time to create a sweet-and-savoury love child – hand-pressed wagyu beef patty, Nutella smoked bacon and double Jack cheese, sandwiched between a grilled Doughnut Time O.G. glazed doughnut. The burger will be available at Ze Pickle’s Brisbane and Gold Coast locations very soon, keep an eye on Instagram and Facebook for updates!

Juanita Margarita
The hombres behind Juan More Taco have a new project in the works – Brisbane’s first mobile Kombi bar, Juanita Margarita. The team has launched a Pozible campaign to assist with the refurbishment of its 1976 Kombi Camper, which when finished will be complete with a margarita machine, beer tap and of course Mexican-themed paint job and fit-out. Head over to Pozible now if you love the idea of margaritas on wheels!

Ginger & Green
South Brisbane’s Merivale Street is set to welcome a new cafe for the new year. Ginger & Green is the latest project from the team at The Ponycat, and is set to open in mid January. The cafe will serve up breakfast, lunch and house-made sweets, along with coffee, smoothies, fresh juices and milkshakes. Stay tuned for updates in the new year.
