The film tells the story of 97-year-old Britt Georgsson, who has dedicated her entire life to working on her father’s farm and caring for the dozen dairy cows that inhabit it. Despite the manual labour taking a serious toll on her body, Britt’s loyalty sees her fighting to keep the farm in the face of a takeover by the authorities. Britt’s younger sister Ingrid implores her to sell, yet still travels from her home to help out on the farm each day. Photojournalist Peter Gerdehag has created a deeply moving story about family ties and lifelong promises. more
