The documentary The Birth of Saké is a project by filmmakers Erik Shirai, Makoto Sasa and Tara Hohenberger, which takes viewers inside a traditional sake brewery. A work in progress, the film was successfully funded through Kickstarter last week, which will allow the team to film the final scenes and embark on post-production work.
