The exciting movement of minimal-intervention wine is certainly gathering steam and it’s opening our eyes to a whole new world of all-natural, easy-drinking wines that are fun, interesting and (most importantly) delicious. Though, apart from getting to trial and sip them at our favourite restaurants, decent (let us reiterate decent) natural wines can be pretty hard to get your hands on. Enter Ok. Wines, a new Gold Coast-based online retailer specialising in natural grape juice with next-day delivery for locals.

The Ok. Wines online store is now up and running, stocked with an ever-growing range of red, white, orange, pink and sparkling wines to choose from. Each wine has its own uncomplicated description and a suggestion on how it’s best consumed – example, the 2018 Col Tamarie Prosecco is best drunk ‘at a party, in the sun, with some oysters handy’. For Ok. Wines’ founder and wine guru Keegan McLean, it’s all about making wine fun again – he wants to ‘take the wank out of wine’ and give people an accessible platform to source wine so they can enjoy tasty, sustainably sourced, easy-to-drink drops without the pressure of having to know or understand in-depth tasting notes.

The wines in stock will rotate regularly and while most of the launch range is Australian, we can expect to see a few more international drops from small producers across the globe lining the digital shelves as well. While Ok. Wines ships Australia-wide, Brisbane folk can enjoy next-day delivery (hooray!) and we’re told the team will be trialling same-day delivery for Gold Coasters in the near future. So, if you give a damn about what you sip and want to explore the world of natural, minimal-intervention wines one bottle at a time, head over to the OK.Wines store for a browse.
