Nowhere Espresso opens in Toowong
Set amongst the peaceful suburban streets of Toowong is new coffee cranny, Nowhere Espresso. Run by Denise of colourful homewares store Shop 51 next door, Nowhere is the latest addition to this strip of shops that radiates old-world charm.
Behind the coffee machine you’ll find Denise’s niece Erin turning Mambo coffee and your choice of Queensland Milk or Zymil, soy, rice and almond milk alternatives into your favourite brew. The Rabbit Hole organic tea bar teas are also on hand, while kids will enjoy the milkshakes served in mini vintage milkshake tumblers, as well as Hepburn organic soft drinks. A simple food selection includes fresh wraps, yoghurt tubs, mini lemon tarts, vegan chocolate and red velvet cupcakes.
For such a tiny space, the ladies have created a fair amount of seating in the outdoor courtyard, shaded by vibrant Basil Bangs umbrellas. Patrons can also take a seat inside the homewares store at the large table and utilise the free WiFi – if your cafe lingering tends to be accompanied by a bit of work. Inside, 1980s maps of Brisbane line the walls, while outside, a dog bowl will keep your four-legged friend hydrated during your visit.
