Tucked away in Fortitude Valley’s charming laneway precinct is a cosy eatery that whips up some super tasty Asian fare. Nomnom Korean Eatery more than earns its namesake thanks to its menu of nom-worthy dishes.

Phillip Kim has spent close to a dozen years honing his cuisine craft working in kitchens across Korea and Australia. Despite dabbling in everything from French to Spanish cuisine, Phillip has always firmly stayed true to his roots and love of Korean food. When Mi + Mian closed in order to allow its owners to focus on their thriving dumpling empire, Phillip was eager to take over the space and continue offering a selection of Asian eats in Bakery Lane’s casual surrounds.

Nomnom Korean Eatery offers a menu divided into bowls, banchan (snacks) and sushi, with a focus on modern Korean tastes and choice morsels from across Asia. Korean favourites include the likes of spicy pork, chicken or mushroom bibimbap, crispy chicken wings, kimchi fries and spicy pork buns, while fans of Japanese cuisine will also be able to sample the likes of okonomiyaki, chicken karaage, fresh salmon sashimi, ramen and several kinds of sushi. Dishes are available to takeaway or dine-in, with dinner trading hours on Thursday to Saturday and alcohol service available from The Apo next door.
