Nom Nom Natural Gelato opens on Oxford Street in Bulimba

Nestled in the bustling thoroughfare of Oxford Street, Nom Nom Natural Gelato is a boutique dispensary of some of the finest and most authentic desserts in Brisbane.

Duncan Harrison discovered his love of gelato making while in the midst of a working holiday in Europe. After undertaking a gelato-making course in Italy and becoming inspired by the flavour possibilities, Duncan decided to bring his newfound knowledge home and make his own gelato using Queensland’s finest produce. After finding a suitable location in Bulimba, Nom Nom Natural Gelato opened in July 2015, selling delicious gelato and sorbets made on site with a quality pasteuriser and batch freezers.

Nom Nom Natural Gelato makes its ice cream by using milk and cream from Maleny Dairies as well as fresh and organic fruit sourced from the Rocklea Markets. On any given day, Nom Nom Natural Gelato serves up to 18 flavours with more in reserve as Duncan constantly tinkers and experiments with flavour combinations. Flavours such as apple pie, cheesecake and banana and cinnamon share freezer space with classic flavours such as mint chocolate, coconut and strawberry.  Delicious options such as salted caramel and vanilla bean are gluten-free and those after a dairy-free option can gorge on lemon, peach, mango and lime sorbets, which are also gluten-free. Nom Nom Natural Gelato also sells cups of Abrisca Coffee, roasted locally in East Brisbane.
