FroYo culture catches on with Noggi in Brisbane City

After much wandering about various cities over the festive season, we’ve come to the conclusion that FroYo is definitely having a moment. While Yogen Fruz opened its doors in the city in 2009, and Berry Me Frozen Yogurt popped up its head in Kelvin Grove last year, it’s the latest addition of Noggi to the Myer Centre that’s made us sit up and take notice.

Boasting yoghurt flavours such as biscotti, green tea, mango, pomegranate and blood orange, Noggi frozen yoghurt can be topped with a hefty selection of naughty or nice treats. ‘Nice’ toppings come in the form of fresh-cut fruit and nuts, with watermelon, passionfruit, lychees, blueberries and even pomegranate seeds among the options. Naughty toppings will see Maltesers, Mars Bars, Oreos, marshmallows, Jelly Babies, Coco Pops, Fruit Loops and Cornflakes fill your cup. Once you’ve picked a size, a FroYo flavour and three toppings, watch the skilled swirlers dish it all up, before picking out a patch of astroturf or a table to indulge your palate.

The Myer Centre store also has an espresso bar in-house, having teamed up with Coorparoo’s Uncle Joe’s Coffee House. There’s a separate counter for ordering your Yirgi Bear house blend or rotating single-origin coffee, but it all comes together in the Biscotti FroYo Affogato. Waffles will join the menu shortly and a second Noggi store will open in QueensPlaza soon.
