Create your own mix of oats, fruit, nuts and seeds at My Granola

It’s that time on the event calendar again when the unique small-batch produce from local artisans and Bakery Lane tenants pours out onto the lane at Bakery Lane Providore Markets.

One such artisan is Mel Mico from My Granola, who brings her mostly Australian-grown produce to the lane so you can choose an oat base and add various dried fruit, nuts and seeds to mix in and create your own individualised granola. The My Granola food philosophy is simple: it is important to know exactly what you are eating and where it comes from so that you can refuel your body in a way that is conducive to your food ideals. With nothing to hide, My Granola has all the ingredients, nutritional information and countries of origin clearly identified so that you can be sure your granola meets your personal requirements.

There are many oat bases to choose from including the likes of Berry Bang, Feeling Seedy, Mel’s Favourite Mix, Peanut Butter Mix, Pina Colada and Super Foods. Then select from almonds, banana, blueberries, cacao nibs, cashews, chia seeds, coconut, cranberries, dates, flaxseed, goji berries, macadamias, pineapple, pepitas, sultanas, sunflower seeds and walnuts to complete your own special blend. As an alternative to dairy, My Granola’s chia pudding with chia seed soaked in organic coconut milk, rice milk, coconut cream, vanilla and agave syrup is a great accompaniment to your granola.

If you would like to try before you buy or are in need of an immediate refuelling, My Granola offers a selected market menu of the Berry Bang, Tropical, Apple Crunch, Super Foods and this month’s special of Coco Rainbow with either natural yoghurt or chia pudding as a takeaway while you enjoy the markets. Whether it be a full breakfast or a simple snack, My Granola has got your health and tastebuds in mind, so stop by the Bakery Lane Providore Markets this Saturday September 5 to create your own.
